Product catalog summary
Overview
Xtratherm Thin-R XT/PR is a high-performance insulation product designed for pitched roofs, offering certified thermal conductivity as low as 0.022 W/mK. It is manufactured without CFCs or HCFCs, ensuring a low Global Warming Potential (GWP) of less than 5, and is rated A+ by the BRE Green Guide.

Specifications
The insulation features a rigid Polyisocyanurate (PIR) core with low emissivity foil facings. It is available in various thicknesses ranging from 25mm to 165mm, with a foam core density of 30-32 Kg/m3 and compressive strength greater than 150 kPa. The product is manufactured to EN ISO 9001:2008 standards.

Installation Procedures
For warm roof construction, Xtratherm insulation is placed above and between roof timbers to maintain internal environmental conditions, reducing thermal stress and condensation risk. In ventilated roofs, a 50mm ventilation gap is maintained, unless a vapour permeable membrane is used. Installation involves placing insulation between and/or below rafters, ensuring tight fitting and using a vapour control layer.

Performance and Benefits
Xtratherm Thin-R provides robust thermal performance, reducing thermal bridging and minimizing intrusion into living spaces. It is suitable for warm, hybrid, and vented roof constructions, offering effective insulation with minimal thickness.

Environmental and Safety Standards
The product is manufactured under ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management standards and is stable and rot-proof, ensuring durability throughout the building's lifespan. It should be stored off the ground and protected from external exposure.

Technical Support
Xtratherm offers technical support with BBA-accredited team members for U-value calculations, condensation risk, and thermal bridging analysis. Comprehensive installation guidance and technical literature are available on the Xtratherm website.

Additional Products
Xtratherm also offers a range of insulation solutions for walls, floors, and roofs, including XT/TF for timber-framed walls, XT/HYF for floors, and XT/SK for sarking roof constructions.

XT/PR Insulation for Pitched Roofs Using Xtratherm Thin-R XT/PR on sloped roofs, whether Warm, Hybrid or Vented can provide the most efficient U-values with minimal intrusion into valuable living space. Warm Roof construction is a particularly effective way of insulating complex roofs. Insulating above and between the roof timbers ensures that the structure is kept at, or near the internal environmental conditions, reducing thermal stress and condensation risk. Pitched Roofs Effective insulation of roof area Reduces thermal bridging Avoids intrusion into living area In a ceiling, typically fibre...
