Product catalog summary
Introduction
Wovin Wall is an interior acoustic solution designed to reduce sound reflection and reverberation in various environments such as lobbies, corridors, cafeterias, restaurants, offices, and auditoriums. It has been tested according to ASTM C 423-07a standards, achieving outstanding results in sound absorption.
Specifications
The Wovin Wall system is effective in reducing harsh echoes and empty ringing sounds, making busy areas more tolerable. It is both a decorative and functional solution, available in a broad range of finishes to enhance interior aesthetics and acoustics.
Acoustic Performance
Wovin Wall has been tested in various combinations, showing significant noise reduction, especially in the mid-frequency range (vocal range). The basic timber Wovin Wall demonstrated exceptional noise absorption, with results reaching up to 1 on the Sabine Absorption Coefficient scale. Adding Sonex Acoustic Foam further enhances sound absorption.
Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC)
The NRC measures the sound absorption capability of Wovin Wall across a broad range of frequencies, with ratings between 0 and 1. The NRC is calculated as an average of the Sabine Absorption Coefficients at 250, 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz. Wall "a" (tiles, timber finish) and Wall "b" (tiles, timber finish with Sonex foam squares) achieved NRC values of 0.56 and 0.72, respectively.
Frequency Analysis
Low frequencies include ambient sounds like air conditioning and printer noise. Medium frequencies (500 to 1000 Hz) cover much of the speech and voice range. High frequencies include sharp noises such as construction and machinery sounds.
Conclusion
The Wovin Wall system provides an effective solution for noise issues while enhancing the aesthetic appeal of a space. It is particularly effective in the medium frequency range, where vocal noises are prevalent. Complete test certificates are available upon request.

ASTM Report-1

Wovin Wall® Acoustic Wovin Wall has been tested to ASTM C 423-07a “Measurement of Sound Absorption in a Reverberation Chamber”. Achieving outstanding results, Wovin Wall is your interior Acoustic Solution. Wovin Wall is ideal for eliminating disturbing sound reflection from voices. It efficiently reduces the reverberation time (sound ”bouncing around”) in a room whether it be in a lobby area, corridor, cafeteria, restaurant, office or auditorium. Wovin Wall works by cutting down on the harsh echoes and empty ringing sounds coming from the walls can make a big difference. It will help quiet a busy area and make it more tolerable for everyone. Wovin Wall is an ideal acoustic solution due to it’s decorative nature and with the broad range of finishes available it can enhance any interior fit out both aesthetically and acoustically. Wovin Wall has been acoustically tested in varying combinations. We found that even the most basic timber Wovin Wall had an outstanding effect upon noise reduction. Noise and sound gets trapped behind the Wovin Wall tiles and cannot escape to bounce repeatedly around the room. The results particularly in the mid frequencies (vocal range) were exceptional with the results falling at up to 1 the Sabine Absorption Coefficient. Adding further options such as Sonex Acoustic Foam to the Wovin Wall will enhance the sound absorption. V 020608

ASTM Report-2

ASTM C 423-07a gives a NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient) result. An NRC measures how much sound is absorbed by Wovin Wall at a given size, in a given area over a broad range of frequencies. Materials receive a rating between 0 to 1, 1 being the optimum. The materials are tested at a broad range of frequencies as sound waves at differing frequencies, travel at varying speeds. Low Frequency = slow long waves High Frequency = fast short waves • Low Frequencies include ambient sounds in an interior such as air conditioning, printer and photocopier noise. • Medium frequencies (500 to 1000hz) include...
