The Wachusetts Regional School District, the oldest in Massachusetts, faced severe overcrowding, risking its accreditation. To address this, a new classroom and cafeteria building was required for the regional high school as part of Phase 1.
Client Need

Williams Scotsman Solution
Williams Scotsman delivered a 25,000 square foot two-story classroom building and a 6,000 square foot cafeteria. The new structure included science labs, classrooms, restrooms, a computer lab, a teacher's lounge, administrative offices, and a life skills classroom with kitchen, laundry, and bathroom facilities. A connecting corridor linked the new building to the existing school. The project featured custom cabinetry, a new alarm system, and an elevator shaft constructed off-site to save time and costs.
Project Outcome
The project was completed successfully, meeting the tight deadline for the school year opening. It was awarded first place in the Permanent Factory-Built Education category by the Modular Building Institute. The school district was impressed with the timely completion and design-build services provided by Williams Scotsman.
