Outcome
The project was completed within budget and on time for the fall semester. The dormitory included student lounges, study rooms, and a large kitchen area on each floor. It was the only dorm at Ithaca College with air-conditioning, offering an attractive living space that blended seamlessly with existing campus facilities.

PROJECT CASE HISTORY ITHACA COLLEGE RESIDENCE HALL (TERRACE 13) Ithaca, New York Client Project Ithaca College is a private coeducational institution that offers both graduate and undergraduate programs in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. In 2009, the college encountered an over-enrollment of students for the fall semester. They did not have enough on-campus housing to accommodate the resurgence of incoming students. Client Need With the fall semester quickly approaching, Ithaca College needed additional student housing constructed quickly and within a strict budget. In addition, the new dormitory had to blend seamlessly with existing campus facilities and enable an aggressive year return on equity. All stick-built solutions failed in terms of speed and cost. A temporary modular residence hall was determined the best solution. Due to their experience providing campus space solutions and guaranteed commitment to delivering the residence facility in time for the upcoming school year, Williams Scotsman was chosen to complete the project.
