4-HOUR EPOXY PRIMER

Product catalog summary
Description and Uses: The 4-Hour Epoxy Primer is a two-component, solvent-free primer designed for interior concrete surfaces. It offers superior penetration, adhesion, and curing compared to traditional water-based primers. It is ideal for binding weak surfaces and can be overcoated with high-performance epoxy resin floor finishes like Epoxicote and High Build Epoxy.
Products: The primer is available as a kit (B260036) consisting of a base (Z910023) and an activator (Z900041). Companion products include an 18" roller frame and handle, a 4" brush, and an 18" replacement roller.
Packaging: The product is packaged in a one-gallon kit.
Surface Preparation: Ensure the concrete surface is clean, dry, and free of loose material. New concrete should cure for 28 days before coating. Use Cemtetch™ to remove laitance and create a proper surface profile. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry before application.
Mixing: Combine base and activator thoroughly until uniform in color. Use a paint paddle or spatula to ensure all material is mixed. Do not mix more than one unit at a time. The pot life is 30 minutes, and unused material may become hot and hazardous.
Application: Apply in a well-ventilated area at temperatures between 50-60°F using a lint-free 3/8" nap roller. A brush can be used for edges. Recoat in 2-4 hours or when dry to the touch. If not top-coated within 48 hours, sand with fine grit before applying the finish.
Coverage: Coverage varies with surface porosity. Estimate 150 sq. ft. on normal surfaces and 120 sq. ft. on porous surfaces per kit.
Clean Up: Use Xylene for cleaning.
Physical Properties: VOC content is less than 50 g/l. Curing time is 2-4 hours at 50-60°F. Pot life is 30 minutes. Store in cool, dry conditions away from sunlight. Shelf life is 2 years. Flashpoint is 200°F (94°C).
Warning: For industrial and commercial use only. Keep out of reach of children. Refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and label for additional safety information.
