PROFIX 40 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION PROFIX 40 is a pigmented water-dispersed micronised acrylic resin base with high coating capacity, containing calibrated fillers that help increase the adhesive property of the next coatings or paint. PRODUCT APPLICATION Preparation of mineral or synthetic surfaces, both outdoor and indoor, to adapt the colour of the surface to the shade of the CP0, PAINT AIR and PAINT PROTECTION products, which will be applied afterwards. Particularly suitable for: • New and old cement or lime-based plaster • Surfaces with synthetic finishes, quartz coatings or plastic paints • Concrete surfaces • Surfaces covered with CP1/CP2 or X-LIME/X-RAPID or reinforced levelling compounds or levelling compounds in general • Good water resistance and vapour permeability • Good coating capacity • Avoids transparency of the surface with “etched”-effect finish • It adjusts surface absorption, facilitating the following applications • It increases the adhesion of CP0, PAINT AIR and PAINT PROTECTION • Can be applied in closed and poorly ventilated environments as it is solvent-free Surfaces with the presence of mould, algae and fungi Remove all present micro-organisms and thoroughly pressure wash the surfaces, wait for them to dry and then apply an undiluted coat of PROCLEAN disinfectant treatment (see related technical data sheet). After at least 2-3 hours, proceed with the application of PROFIX 40 in the colour of the finishing product. Deteriorated, powdery or weakened plaster Remove all loose or detached parts by thorough pressure washing, and repair with FIBRO 20 fibrereinforced mortar (see related technical data sheet) keeping the surface wet during application. Wait at least 24 hours after completing repairs and apply PROFIX 40 to the dry surface of all of the surfaces, including the powdery ones, in the same colour as the finishing product. With plaster that is particularly deteriorated, treat preventively with PROFIX 30 (see related technical data sheet); when absorption is finished, proceed with PROFIX 40.

PROFIX 40 Existing surfaces in good state or newly-built, such as: plaster, repair and levelling mortars in general, reinforced levelling compounds and thick coatings, paints and varnishes. Wait for the newly prepared surfaces to cure completely. With pre-existing, old surfaces, remove all loose or crumbling parts by brushing and thorough pressure washing, then wait for the surface to dry completely before applying PROFIX 40 in the same colour as the finishing product.
