REPAIR MORTARS FLOWMIX 70 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION ready-mixed cement-based mortar with compensated shrinkage for all uses that require high resistance performance. Easy to work with, when mixed with chipping it is suitable for high thickness casting. PRODUCT APPLICATION • To structurally restore columns and beams with concrete casting • To anchor bolts and metal structures • To cast metal rails of gates, cranes and machinery in general • To fill rigid joints between prefabricated elements • To reconstruct pile heads and diaphragms • To repair industrial, road, airport and car park reinforced concrete flooring • Resurfacing (for example elevator pits) • Waterproof • High mechanical resistance • Almost impossible to be subject to wear • Good levelling properties • High resistance anchorings • No cavities in the repair Preparing the surfaces Perfect adhesion of the product to the surface, which is absolutely necessary to ensure repair resistance, depends on the quality of the surface preparation on which the mortar is to be applied. Therefore, the following steps must be carried out in advance: • Carefully remove all deteriorated parts by sand-blasting or bush-hammering • When repairing floors, areas must not be larger than 3x3 m (9 m2) • Roughen the surface, removing any film or cement latex • Clean each exposed reinforcement bar from rust • If necessary, set-up the insertion of anchorage rods in the pre-existing structure • If the application thickness is more than 2 cm, a metal reinforcement mesh must be fixed with dowels to the surface in order to allow a balanced shrinkage of FLOWMIX 70 • Thoroughly soak the surfaces with water, keeping them damp from when the application process

REPAIR MORTARS FLOWMIX 70 begins • Remove all water stagnation Preparing the mixture FLOWMIX 70 is ready to use; mixing water must be added as follows: • Pour the mixing water into a mortar mixer (3 l per bag equivalent to 12% in weight) • Slowly add the product while the mixer is on • High thick casting may require dry and clean gravel of suitable grain size (6÷16 mm) to be added, up to 30% in weight • Mix the mixture for approximately 3 minutes, then check its workability.
