REPAIR MORTARS FIBRO 20 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION FIBRO 20 fibre-reinforced, thixotropic, mortar with low modulus of elasticity used for localised repairs of cement-based and lime-cement plasters. PRODUCT APPLICATION • To restore any missing cement or lime-cement plaster before the finishing phase • To repair and smooth porous and chipped cement-based surfaces • To seal the rendering mortar on exposed walls • Excellent thixotropy that allows the product to be applied without formwork • Excellent workability • Good surface finish • High adhesion to all cement-based surfaces • Adequate chemical and physical compatibility with the indicated surfaces • Applicable with trowel and float, or machine-applicable with continuous mixing plastering machine. • Low modulus of elasticity Preparing the surfaces Perfect adhesion of FIBRO 20 to the surface, which is absolutely necessary to ensure repair resistance, depends on the quality of the surface preparation on which the product is to be applied. Accordingly, it is necessary to preventively: • Thoroughly remove dust, loose parts and any finishing layers that have not adhered well • Soak the surfaces with water, keeping them damp from the start of application, which must not be done in the presence of free surface water (this must be removed with a sponge or compressed air) Preparing the mixture FIBRO 20 is ready to use; pour the mixing water into a container (approx. 5 l per bag equivalent to 20% in weight) and slowly add the powder, mixing it with a drill-mixer for about 3 minutes, until a smooth mixture is obtained. Application Apply FIBRO 20 in layers not exceeding 2 mm, using a trowel or a flat spatula; wait at least 20 minutes between one layer and another when thicker layers are applied. Before applying the product on large surfaces or particularly uneven and rough, optimise adhesion to the surface by applying the first layer of FIBRO 20 as a rough coat. Wait at least 12 hours and then apply the subsequent layers with a trowel or spatula.

In this case observe all previous application instructions, also with the warning to cut the sacks along one side with a utility knife. Finishing A sponge float can be used for the FIBRO 20 finish, approx. 40-50 minutes (at +22°C) after product application; the finished surface will be very similar to a medium-grain plaster finish.
