WATERPROOF MORTARS/RAPID-SETTING MORTARS BI MORTAR PRODUCT DESCRIPTION BI MORTAR is a fibre-reinforced waterproofing mortar for thick layer applications. PRODUCT APPLICATION To coat with a thick waterproof layer even in negative hydraulic pressure conditions, when no movement and/or settling is expected in the treated structures. Particularly suitable for: • To waterproof skirting at the foot of the plaster • For underground structures made of either concrete or mixed material • To repair diaphragms with a reinforcement mesh being interlaid (REVOMAT) • To render, level and seal prefabricated elements (wells, ditches...) • For the application of waterproof rendering mortar for wall finishing with exposed stone • It simplifies and reduces the application phases by featuring ”two products in one”, as it evens out and waterproofs in a single application • Also applicable on uneven surfaces • Safe solution • Sulphate resistant • Excellent adhesion • Excellent resistance to negative pressure Preparing the surfaces Clean all traces of form oil or grease and remove any loose parts (fouling). High-pressure clean the surface until it is soaked and remove excess water before applying the product. Seal any passing bodies with AKTI-VO 201 mastic. Seal any localised water flows with TAP 3 rapid-setting hydraulic mortar. Preventively fasten the connectors required for the later instalment of the REVOMAT fibre mesh (see relative data sheet) as reinforcement. Preparing the mixture The product is ready to use. Pour the mixing water into a mortar mixer or a cement mixer (4-4.5 l per bag). Slowly add the product while the mixer is running. Mix the mixture for approximately 3 minutes, then check product workability (small variations in water

Application Apply a first layer of BI MORTAR with a minimum thickness of 1 cm, using a trowel or plastering machine, and embed REVOMAT in it, which must be fastened to the relative, previously installed connectors; next, apply a second layer of BI MORTAR with a minimum thickness of 1 cm, to cover the mesh completely.
