ShapesAvailable shapes for rooflights include Dome, Flat Sealed,
Access Hatch, Pyramid, Trapezoid, Hexagonal, and Circular.
Ventilation Options
Rooflights can be un-ventilated or have background ventilation with built-in kerbs. Comfort options include hinged, vertical lift, and mechanical AOV systems.
Heat and Smoke Management
Kerb options include splayed, vertical, and adapter types that fit on builders' upstands.
Glazing and Ud-valuesFour standards are provided for Ud-values:
- 1.0 W/m2: Glass x 2 + Polycarbonate x 1 with PVCu kerb
- 1.6 W/m2: Polycarbonate x 3 with PVCu kerb
- 1.2-1.7 W/m2: Glass x 2 or Polycarbonate x 3 with thermally broken aluminium kerb
- 3.6-5.4 W/m2: Polycarbonate x 2 or Polycarbonate x 1 with aluminium kerb
Users can build their own Ud-value by choosing specific glazing options.
Attachment to the Roof
Options include flat board insulated roof, direct to roof deck, sleeve over existing kerb/upstand, plinth on existing builders' kerb, and builders' upstand on existing sub-construction.
Glazing/Panes Colour and Structure
Available options include clear glass, diffused polycarbonate, opal polycarbonate, bronze polycarbonate, and clear polycarbonate.
Security Features
Security measures include security screws, tamper-resistant systems, security frames, and intruder grids.
