Ross Lovegrove drew inspiration from the unique diversity in culture and architecture of İstanbul, immersing himself in its ceramic arts and its calligraphy with its graphic yet liquid, sensuous and organic properties. VitrA and Lovegrove collaboration has produced 3 fascinating designs; İstanbul, MOD and Freedom. One of the most interesting and fascinating designers of the 21st century, and a recipient of countless awards, Lovegrove’s work explores the creation of sculptural and organic shapes using sophisticated technology and materials. His design concept ‘organic essentialism’ is inspired by elements and aesthetics taken from the natural world and reshaped in futuristic forms. Sharing VitrA’s passion for substantial innovation and design excellence, Ross Lovegrove represents the brand as its spokesperson in various platforms. 5

Ross Lovegrove & VitrA Collaboration 2006 İstanbul Collection launch 114 sanitaryware, 12 furniture, 8 bathtub, 30 faucet, 23 accesory and tile products were introduced. VitrA proudly received the world’s most prestigious design awards. 2008 MOD Collection launch 7 sanitaryware, 3 furniture, 6 bathtub, 8 faucet and 12 accesory products were introduced. 6

2009 Freedom Collection launch 9 Sanitaryware, 11 furniture and 3 faucet products were introduced. 2010 İstanbul tiles relaunched. MOD tiles launched. 7

Contoured tile surfaces create a gentle wave of reflections, enhancing the architectural tone of the bathroom space. 45

Available in white, faucets are equipped with light mechanism that changes colour from blue to red to indicate water temperature. Light fades in and out depending on water flow. Temperature and water flow preferences can be recorded for three different users. “Cleaning Mode” ceases water flow automatically and saves precious water. 51
