.03 High Maarten Van Severen & Fabian Schwärzler, 1999/2011 .03 High is based on various elements of the .03 and .04 chairs by Maarten Van Severen. The chair has the same clean lines and reductive forms that are typical of designs by Van Severen, making it a practical and durable oce companion. At the same time, it serves the growing need and desire to alternate between sitting and standing postures while working. Paired with a stand-up table, .03 High makes this transition into a spontaneous and dynamic action: instead of raising or lowering the work surface, the user can simply sit down on the chair or stand up at the desk. .03 High has no armrests. This enables the user to sit sideways or in other positions – or simply to lean on the chair. Thanks to its pleasant pliability, which only becomes apparent upon use, the exible integral foam shell provides comfortable seating over prolonged periods. .03 High is height-adjustable and has a footrest that serves as a useful support in both seated or standing positions.
