Vitacryl Elastomeric water insulating paint for roofs Excellent acrylic water insulating material, with great elasticity, ideal for roofs. It creates a long-lasting adhesion to every masonry surface (concrete, brick, wood, metal, etc.) and prohibits excellent resistance to adverse weather conditions and UV radiation retaining its elasticity at temperatures ranging from -30οC to +100οC. The product offers energy savings due to decreased use of cooling and heating devices and simultaneously contributes to dealing with the urban heat island phenomenon and global climate change caused by global warming. • • • • Water insulating material for roofs Resistant to adverse weather conditions Great elasticity Certified Cool Paint for Roofs SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS Certified from the University of Athens, Department of Physics, as a cool material for roofs with the following properties: Initial Total Solar Reflectance SR=0.84 (300-2500nm) (ASTM 903-96 and ASTM G 159-98) Infrared Emittance Factor ε = 0.89 (ASTM E 408-71-2002) Solar Reflectance Index SRI = 106 (ASTM E 1980-01) COLOURS Available in white and dark red. TECHNICAL CHARASTERISTICS PACKAGING Shades SPREADING RATE 3 m2/L per coat on properly prepared surfaces. VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) CONTENT EU maximum VOC content limit values (Directive 2004/42/CE) for this product (category A/c “Exterior walls of mineral substrate”, Type WB): 40 g/L. This product contains maximum 15 g/L VOCs (ready for use product). SURFACE PREPARATION Surfaces should be smooth, clean and dry, free from grease, dust, loose or flaking paint. Cracks or joints should first be filled. Surfaces should be primed with Durovit diluted up to 30% with Brush Solvent T 300. APPLICATION Stir well before use. Apply cross-wise two coats, allowing 24 hours between each coat application, by roller, brush or airless spray gun diluted up to 5-10% with water for the first coat. Apply the second coat without dilution. Do not apply at temperature below 5°C, above 35°C and / or relative humidity above 70%. Avoid application when rain or frost is expected in the next 48 hours. It is touch-dry after 2-3 hours and can be recoated after 24-48 hours. Drying time depends on weather conditions (humidity and temperature). Tools must be cleaned immediately after use with water and if needed with soapy water or a detergent. STORAGE Containers must be kept closed in a cool, dry, well ventilated area protected from direct sunlight at temperatures between 5°C - 38°C. SAFETY ADVICE Read label before use.
