PreColor Primer - 1

PreColor Primer White Acrylic Water-based Primer that can be colored New technology white waterborne primer, based on acrylic resins, for exterior and interior use, that can be colored through Vitex Coloring System and increases coverage by reducing the numbers of topcoat layers required. By working inside the color space of the topcoat color, the right shade of primer allows the topcoat to more fully and more quickly develop its true color. It is colored in 3 shades, Yellow, Red and Grey, depending on the topcoat shade and based on the color space of the topcoat color, to reduce the number of layers in final shades made from a transparent base. It can also be colored for shades made from medium and white base for extra coverage. It presents very good hiding power, easy application, fast drying properties, high spreading rate and is used as an undercoat for all waterbased paints of Vitex. It improves appearance, adhesion and weather resistance of topcoat. • Increases coverage • Can be colored for all topcoat shades • For exterior and interior use COLOURS Available in white. It can be colored through Vitex Coloring System in 3 shades, Yellow, Red and Grey, for shades made from transparent base. It can also be colored for shades made from medium and white base. PACKAGING White SPREADING RATE 10-12 m2/L, per coat on properly prepared surfaces. VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) CONTENT EU maximum VOC content limit values (Directive 2004/42/CE) for this product (category A/g “Primers”, Type WB): 30 g/L. This product contains maximum 15 g/L VOCs (ready for use). APPLICATION Stir well before use. Apply one coat by roller or brush undiluted or by airless spray gun diluted up to 5-10% with water. Do not apply at temperatures below 5°C, above 35°C and/or relative humidity above 80%. It is touch-dry after 30-60 minutes and can be recoated after 3-4 hours with Vitex’s emulsion or acrylic paints. Drying time depends on weather conditions (humidity and temperature). Tools must be cleaned immediately after use with water and if needed with soapy water or a detergent. TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS Viscosity STORAGE Containers must be kept closed in a cool, dry, well ventilated area protected from direct sunlight at temperatures between 5°C - 38°C. SAFETY ADVICE Read label before use. For further instructions precautions see Material Safety Data Sheet. SURFACE PREPARATION Surfaces should be smooth, clean and dry, free from grease, dust, loose or flaking paint. Use Acrylic Putty of Vitex to fill any cracks or holes. New surfaces made of plaster, concrete, rendering, plaster-board etc., are sanded with a suitable abrasive paper and then painted with PreColor Primer of Vitex.
