Blanco Water-based wall undercoat GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS White, mat, water-based primer for walls, based on pure acrylic resins of new technology, suitable for interior and exterior use. It provides great hiding power and high spreading rate. It is easy to apply and dries fast. It can be used as an undercoat for all Vitex's water-based paints (emulsion, acrylic, cement, relief, etc.). It also improves the appearance, hiding power, adhesion and weather resistance of the final coat. Due to its special formula, it blocks many kinds of stains like nicotine, yellowness, juice, pen markers, etc. and can be used as an intermediate coat from dark to lighter shades as well, reducing in this way, the number of coats of the final paint required. Virtually odourless during its application because it does not contain ammonia. SURFACE PREPARATION Surfaces to be painted must be clean, dry, free from dust and flaking paint. Then they can be primed with one coat of Blanco. COLOURS It is available in white. PACKAGING It is available in 750 ml, 3 L and 10 L pails. DRYING It is touch dry after 30 minutes, depending on atmospheric conditions. RECOATABILITY TIME It can be recoated after 1 - 2 hours, depending on atmospheric conditions. For persistent stains we have better results if we recoat after 24 hours. SPREADING RATE 10 - 12 m2 / L per coat on properly prepared surfaces. THINNING Dilute 10 - 15% with water for roller or brush application, and 15 - 20% with water when applied with spray gun. APPLICATION Apply by roller, brush or spray gun. CLEANING OF TOOLS Tools must be cleaned immediately after use with water and if needed with soapy water or a detergent. VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) CONTENT EU maximum VOC content limit values (Directive 2004/42/CE) for this product (category A/g “Primers”, Type WB): 50 g/l (2007), 30 g/l (2010). This product contains maximum 5 g/l VOCs (ready for use product).

Blanco Technical features VISCOSITY MINIMUM APPLICATION TEMPERATURE 1 year in proper storage conditions (ideal storage temperature ranges from 5oC to 38oC). WHITENESS INDEX ~ 87 (ASTM E313-98).
