Acrylan Elastic Elastomeric and water insulating paint for exterior use Elastomeric, water insulating paint for exterior vertical surfaces based on special 100% acrylic UV-crosslinking resins. It can be applied to both old and new surfaces such as plaster, rendering, concrete, bricks, etc. It exhibits an excellent watertight film, great hiding power, exceptional fastness even if exposed to adverse weather conditions or pollutants in a seaside or industrial environment, without requiring recoating with an acrylic paint. It covers completely all existing small expansions and contractions of the surface, retaining its elasticity at temperatures ranging between -25οC to +110οC. The final surface and the shades come through time unscathed, without snail trials. • • • • With 100% acrylic UV-crosslinking resins 4 in 1: Waterproofs, coating, covers expansions, ‘breathes’ Exceptional fastness to adverse weather conditions Certified Cool Paint SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS Certified from the University of Athens, Department of Physics, as a cool material with the following properties: Initial Total Solar Reflectance SR=0.86 (300-2500nm) (ASTM 903-96 and ASTM G 159-98) Infrared Emittance Factor ε = 0.88 (ASTM E 408-71-2002) Solar Reflectance Index SRI = 108 (ASTM E 1980-01) COLOURS Available in white and an unlimited number shades through Vitex’s Colorfull Tinting System. PACKAGING White Bases SPREADING RATE 10–12 m2/L per coat on properly prepared surfaces. APPLICATION Stir well before use. Apply two coats by roller, brush or airless spray gun diluted up to 15% with water. Do not apply at temperature below 5°C, above 35°C and/ or relative humidity above 70%. Avoid application when rain or frost is expected in the next 48 hours. It is touch-dry after 2-3 hours and can be recoated after 6-8 hours. Drying time depends on weather conditions (humidity and temperature). Tools must be cleaned immediately after use with water and if needed with soapy water or a detergent. TECHNICAL CHARASTERISTICS Viscosity STORAGE Containers must be kept closed in a cool, dry, well ventilated area protected from direct sunlight at temperatures between 5οC - 38οC. VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) CONTENT EU maximum VOC content limit values (Directive 2004/42/CE) for this product (category A/c “Exterior walls of mineral substrate”, Type WB): 40 g/L. This product contains maximum 23 g/L VOCs (ready for use product). SURFACE PREPARATION Surfaces should be smooth, clean and dry, free from grease, dust, loose or flaking paint. To fill any cracks or holes use Acrylic Putty. Surfaces previously covered with water paints or distempers (lime wash or ceiling white) should be primed with Acrylan Unco Eco, Durovit or Vitosin.
