Indoors Outdoors • Indoors Outdoors Almost a century ago Lloyd Loom chairs could be found on countless cruise ships, royal yachts, and in the royal boxes at Wimbledon, Henley and Twickenham. Marshall Burns Lloyd developed the concept of woven paper as an alternative to the wicker used in prams. Furniture was soon added and it wasn’t long before Lloyd Loom Weave became a gigantic success. In the early nineties of the last century Vincent Sheppard first imported a few items of Lloyd Loom furniture from England, and its huge success led them to set up their own production line. In 2002 Vincent Sheppard did exceptionally well with its launch of an outdoor collection - chairs and sofas for the garden and terrace. Since then it has become hard to imagine a garden or terrace without Lloyd Loom furniture, and the name of Vincent Sheppard has become well known in the world of garden furniture. Bijna een eeuw geleden vond je al Lloyd Loom stoelen op talrijke cruiseschepen, koninklijke yachten en op de ereloges van Wimbledon, Henley en Twickenham. Marshall Burns Lloyd ontwikkelde het concept van geweven papier als alternatief voor de rieten kinderwagens. Al gauw kwamen er ook meubels bij en het duurde niet lang of Lloyd Loom Weave werd een gigantisch succes. Vincent Sheppard voerde in het begin van de jaren negentig van vorige eeuw voor het eerst enkele Lloyd Loom-meubelen in uit Engeland en door het grote succes startte het in 1998 ook een eigen productielijn op. In 2002 scoort Vincent Sheppard bijzonder hoge ogen met de lancering van een outdoor-collectie, stoelen en zetels voor tuin en terras. . Sindsdien zijn Lloyd Loom-meubels ook daar niet meer weg te denken, en is Vincent Sheppard een bekende naam in de wereld van tuinmeubilair.
