Project: Glorya Kaufman Performing Arts Center By L.A.based AUX Architecture Location: Los Angeles, Usa CUSTOMISED SURFACES & SPECIAL TREATMENTS COLORS COLLECTION Our special multi-layer extrusion allow to customise the color of the panel bulk with infinite shardes of colors according with each architectural request; this is the Caleido project. However, to speed up delivery times we have selected a collection of 21 colors, called RTG, which is available on the full range of arcoPlus systems. UV-MATT | SILK DIFFUSING SURFACE In order to avoid surface’s glares that usually characterize the PC building covering and to get a new material sensation, we can coextrude a special matt and UV-protected finish on outer wall of panels. This treatment allows also a better ditribution of natural light in the interiors and give a special one silk filltouch. UV.TECH | SPECIAL SOLAR EXPOSURE WARRANTY arcoPlus® paneling customised with UV-TECH treatment is characterized by an extended warranty up to 15 years, due to an exclusive protective coextrusion applied into the external walls facing the sun esposure, composed by the special UV-absorbers more chemically stable and effective over time. AR | ANTI-GLARE SURFACE arcoPlus® panels with AR coating are characterized by a kind of coextrusion on the inner side which diffuses the sunlight. It reduces the passage of heat but moreover this innovativation prevents glares or flash, thus improving the environment’s visual comfort of the indoor area where they are installed. IR | SOLAR CONTROL The panels spiked with IR treatment can absorb the portion of light of the infrared spectrum (780-1400nm), blocking solar heat but letting pass the brightness. Using these products, you can reduce up to 25% increase in the internal temperature caused by the greenhouse effect and you can keep the climate comfort. AG | ANTI-SCRATCH & ANTI GRAFFITI Sometimes the panels are installed where there’s the risk of damage by vandalism as spray paint or surface scratch, here AG treatment: it creates an anti-graffiti and anti-scratch surface with a repellent barrier to oils and water prevents the paint to penetrate deeply into the substrate and will make it easy to remove. To the arcoPure® polycarbonate panels is applied PURETI® advanced nanotechnologies with the aim of reduce carbon footprint and to make buildings more and more sustainable... So PC panels are treated directly during the extrusion production process with this special patented coating to both reduce pollution and improve air quality. Through the UVrays and solar energy, this transparent and non-toxic photocatalytic treatment is activated and chemical reactions occur on the PC surface, converting atmospheric pollutants particles VOx Nox in Oxygen molecules, emitted into the air. Plastic get to behave like natural phenomena... giving five main benefits: air-purification for healthier spaces, anti-pollution balance, indoor odor reduction, anti-viral & anti-baterical surfaces and self-cleaning facades. OPENABLE SYSTEM WITH THERMAL BREAK The goal of translucent architecture is to benefit as much as possible of natural resources for internal environments... in this way we have designed special frames, with automatic or manual opening engine, allowing to insert opening windows into your arcoPlus®5511 facades. The size of these opening windows can be customized, in order to guarantee the correct ventilation according to each specific regulamentation.
