Zero® bricks by Vandersanden offer a traditional bricklaying method with a modern, joint-free appearance. These bricks are designed to be laid with mortar and trowel, providing a sleek and durable facade that is low-maintenance and user-friendly.
Specifications and Design
Zero® bricks feature a special recess for mortar application, allowing for quick and easy installation. The ideal length-to-width ratio supports a half-brick bond, enhancing the simplicity and elegance of the design.
Benefits of Zero® Bricks
Zero® bricks provide a pure, sleek facade without the influence of joint color. They eliminate the need for scaffolding, saving time and money. The bricks are laid by tilting, preventing excess mortar on the front and ensuring pristine condition. The narrow, open lap-joints offer excellent cavity ventilation.
Environmental and Durability Features
Bricks are eco-friendly, versatile, and durable, withstanding high pressures, frost, and temperature variations. They are free of efflorescence and shrinkage, maintaining warmth and style for over 100 years.
Color and Customization Options
The Zero® range includes 18 colors, with additional options available for large projects. Traditional bricks can also be laid joint-free using glue or thin bed mortar, offering over 100 color choices.
Installation Tips
Joint-free brickwork requires careful planning and specific mortar with enhanced adhesion. The bricks should be laid by tilting, and matching mortar colors are recommended for a uniform appearance.
