Award-Winning Recycling Technology
UPM ProFi Deck is the first industrial-scale solution for recycling waste off-cuts and trimmings from self-adhesive labels. The process utilizes cellulose fibers and plastic polymers from waste to create a durable material for exterior use. This reduces landfill and incineration waste significantly, with every 10 lorries of UPM ProFi Deck produced equating to 6 fewer lorries of waste.

Environmental Impact
UPM ProFi Deck has a low carbon footprint. Recycling 1 kg of label waste into the deck prevents the release of approximately 1.84 kg of CO2. Each square meter of decking contains 10 kg of label waste, preventing 18.4 kg of CO2 emissions. The product's carbon footprint is 0.7 kg CO2 per kg, less than half that of many concrete paving stones.

Sustainable Manufacturing
The manufacturing process uses a closed-loop water recycling system and recycles a high proportion of waste into new products. No PVC or toxic biocides are used, and off-cuts can be disposed of with normal household waste. Emissions from burning the product are less harmful than those from timber.

Minimal Packaging and Local Production
UPM ProFi Deck is packaged minimally, reducing unnecessary waste. Production is located in Finland and Germany, close to waste sources and customers, minimizing transport emissions.
