1. The sub-construction must be a rigid, interconnected frame that is well-ventilated and allows for easy drainage.
2. Support Rails should be installed on flat, load-bearing surfaces and fixed at 1m intervals. Raised decks can use Alu Support Rail Large, UPM ProFi Feet, or durable timber.
3. Composite boards have lower moisture absorption than timber, reducing swelling. They expand and contract slightly with temperature changes, with specific gap recommendations provided.
4. Design should include small gaps at board ends for aesthetic consistency.
5. T-Clips, Wing Clips, and Alu Rail accommodate thermal expansion and contraction. Boards should be fixed through the tongue with screws.
6. For joining board ends, use two support rails and fix each end with clips. Maximum overhangs are specified for different board types.
1. UPM ProFi decking requires minimal maintenance: no sanding, oiling, or varnishing. Regular cleaning is necessary.

5. Avoid bleach and abrasive cleaners. Regular inspections are recommended for high-traffic decks.
6. UPM ProFi decks resist typical wood greying and are less prone to stain marks and mold. UPM ProFi Piazza is especially resistant to color fading.
