I-Joist

Product catalog summary
Overview: The document provides technical specifications and applications for I-Joist beams, which are structural wooden I-beams with laminated veneer lumber (LVL) flanges. These beams are used in floor, wall, and ceiling applications and are known for their lightweight yet high load-bearing capacity.
Applications: I-Joist beams are suitable for constructing floors, roofs, and walls, especially in timber constructions involving large spans.
Characteristics: The beams are lightweight and offer structural integrity. They can be pre-insulated, drilled, and sawn to facilitate construction work.
Technical Specifications: The design complies with EN 1995-1-1 (Eurocode 5). The document provides detailed tables with specifications for different I-Joist heights, including characteristic bending moments, shear forces, bending stiffness, and shearing stiffness. It also includes data on end and middle support capacities with and without web reinforcement.
Certificates: UNILIN, division panels, is committed to sustainable forest management.
Notes: The use of I-Joist beams is restricted to service classes 1 & 2. Design factors such as kmod, kdef, ksys, and γM should be used in accordance with EN 1995-1-1. Full lateral support of the compression flange is assumed for permitted moments, with specific requirements for web reinforcement based on the series.
Availability: I-Joist beams are available in stock, and custom dimensions can be discussed with the sales team.

I-Joist-1

I-Joist Structural wooden I-beams with LVL flanges for floor, wall and ceiling applications I-Joist beams consist of finger-jointed flanges made of high quality laminated veneer lumber glued to a structural OSB. A 10 mm core board reduces thermal bridges to a minimum. Although I-Joist beams are up to 50% lighter than massive wooden beams, they offer an exceptionally high load-bearing capacity, suitable for large spans. On request, I-Joist beams can be pre-insulated, -drilled and sawn slanted or straight, significantly facilitating work on construction sites.
