Joints, openings and projections (e.g. ventilators) should be sealed airtight with UdiSTEAM® Tape elastoflex and difficult surfaces sealed using our UdiSTEAM® Butyl tapes. Sandy and dusty surfaces or UdiUNGER-DIFFUTHERM® wood-fibre insulation boards may need to be pre-treated with UdiSTEAM® Primer. UdiSTEAM® Tex 155 should be laid crosswise, beginning from the bottom of the construction and stapled or nailed at 10cm intervals. The green matt surface simplifies the installation by ensuring that the workers are not dazzled by reflected sunlight. In order to ensure an optimal level of insulation, the 10 cm overlaps and all joints, openings and projections (e.g. ventilators) should be sealed airtight with our external adhesive products. UdiSTEAM® Tex 155 should be protected from prolonged exposure to the elements and covered as soon as possible after laying.
