fabric consists of a 100% Polycarbonate Polyurethane surface with a backing of 65% Polyester and 35% Rayon. It weighs approximately 10.8 oz. per square yard or 360 grams per square meter, with a thickness of about 1.0 millimeters and a width of 54 inches (137 centimeters).
Performance
Abrasion: The fabric meets or exceeds ASTM D4157 with 400,000 double rubs (Wyzenbeek) and BS 2543 with 200,000 rubs (Martindale).
Hydrolysis: It has a hydrolytic stability of 14+ weeks, tested under ASTM D3690-02 Sect. 6.11 and ISO 1419 Method C.
Adhesion of Coating: Tested with ASTM D751.
Tear Strength: Evaluated using ASTM D2261.
Breaking Strength: Assessed with ASTM D5034.
Colorfastness
Light Fastness: Rated at AATCC 16.3, 200 hours, Grade 4-5.
Crocking: Achieves AATCC 8, Class 5 for both wet and dry conditions.
Flammability
F/R Rating: The fabric passes several flammability tests including ASTM E84 (Adhered) - Class A, CA TB 117-2013, FMVSS 302 & 95/28 Annex IV, NFPA 260 - Class 1, and UFAC - Class 1. Additional tests include ASTM E84 (Unadhered), BS 5852 PT 0, 1 & 5 (Crib 5), BS 5867 Part 2 Type B, BS 7175, California Technical Bulletin 133, FAR Specifications, IMO A.652 (16), and NFPA 701.
Environmental and Health Certifications
The fabric is GREENGUARD Gold Certified, meeting stringent chemical emission limits for VOCs, promoting healthier indoor air quality, and contributing towards LEED® and BIFMA credits. It complies with California Section 01350, Healthier Hospitals Safer Chemicals Challenge V2.0, and Prop 65. It contains no BPA, conflict minerals, flame retardants, heavy metal stabilizers, PFCs, plasticizer phthalates, POPs, or PVC. Over 99% of solvents are recaptured and recycled.
