Open the catalog to page 2Functional description Ventilation units SCHOOLAIR-B maintain a high air quality in class rooms by supplying conditioned fresh air to the room and extracting ‘stale’ air. The supply air fan provides fresh air, which flows through a shut-off damper and a fine dust filter. In case the unit is switched off, a shut-off damper prevents uncontrolled air flow. The Class F7 fine dust filter corresponds to the hygiene requirements of VDI 6022. For the thermal conditioning of the fresh air a heat exchanger for heat recovery and as an option a heat exchanger for heating and / or cooling. The heat...

Open the catalog to page 4Construction · Dimensions Outer casing Ventilation units without factory made outer casing are enclosed by others or installed into existing outer casings. In this case the grilles for supply and extract air are supplied by others. Ventilation units can have an attractive TROX outer casing made of sheet steel. Grilles for supply and extract air are part of the outer casing. Linear grilles with horizontal blades or perforated sheet metal face plates are available. Outer casing Outer casing with perforated sheet metal face plates – Outer casing with integral linear grilles or perforated sheet...
Open the catalog to page 5Operation and control Control panel SCHOOLAIR control SCHOOLAIR control as an accessory provides an individual room control system that is ideally tailored to the SCHOOLAIR ventilation units. The controller has the necessary electronics to connect and communicate with control panels, temperature sensors, room air quality sensors and actuators and the software for control. Control components: – SCHOOLAIR controller – Control panel – Water valves for hot and/or chilled water – Valve actuators – Supply air temperature sensor – Room air quality sensor – Fresh air temperature sensor Ventilation...

Open the catalog to page 7Operation and control Master-slave-operation Master and slave units Each ventilation unit requires a SCHOOLAIR controller operating as a master or slave to set the fan speed and to control the valves. For the individual room control and user operation each room must have a master ventilation unit. If there are multiple ventilation units in one room, the other maximum five units become slaves. Additional components for the master unit: – Control panel (-MB) – Fresh air temperature sensor – Room air quality sensor (VOC) – For connection of the control panel a cable end is available outside...
Open the catalog to page 8Installation The customer must install the ventilation units, make all connections, and provide the fixing system, connection and sealing materials. Only trained expert personnel should install and make the appropriate connections. All legal regulations for site work must be complied with. The ventilation units are mounted on an external wall beneath the sill. The unit is set directly on the floor, adjusted and fixed using the brackets. Closed-cell sealing strips produce tight connection to the wall. Fresh air and exhaust air connections Two openings with 220 to 250 mm diameter with a slope...
Open the catalog to page 9Technical data Electric data Supply voltage: Power rating: Boost: 45 W Medium fan speed (55 l/s / 200 m³/h): 17 W Rating: 156 VA Heating capacity With outside temperatures below −6 °C the heat recovery is not active, to avoid freezing in the heat exchanger for heat recovery. The maximum heating capacity is in this case provided by the heat exchanger of the hot-water heating system. Above −6 °C outside temperature the heat recovery is active and a portion of heat in the extract air is transferred to the fresh air. Hence the heating capacity provided by the hot-water heating system is...
