To design spaces even more beautiful, in 2003 TREND incorporated Orsoni; a traditional Venetian producer of hand-cut artisanal mosaics that uses the same traits since 1888.

The Gritti Palace in Venice has chosen the traditional Venetian mosaic to embellish the spaces of the SPA. The mosaic tiles with gold leaf 24K are made entirely by hand in the ancient Furnace Orsoni. Orsoni, the only remaining furnace and enamel manufacturer in the city of Venice; since 1888 they have produced glass and gold leaf that are used in the most celebrated mosaics in the world, including St. Mark’s Basilica. The Golden Elephant is located in the Zoo Miami, featured within the African elephant exhibit with “Golden Girls” Peggy and Mable and its newest additions, Lisa and Cita. The stunning figure took 12 mosaic artists more than a year to create, weighs 1.3 tons (2,710 lbs.) and measures 2,13 m (7 ft.) wide, 4,9 m (16 ft.) high and 8,2 m (27 ft.) long. Arranged in a clear order, nine geometrical columns rise in a central location of Venice. The façade of the monastery of San Giorgio Maggiore overlooks the seaside promenade of the eponymous island on the side that faces the city.
