Venetian Smalti
Venetian Smalti is a unique material originating from the Orsoni furnace in 19th century Venice, Italy. The creation process involves a fusion at over 1300 degrees, transforming sand, soda, matting, and metal oxides into glass slabs. These slabs undergo an annealing process to ensure high-quality cuts. The resulting smalti exhibit infinite color gradations, with each hand-cut tile being unique, much like the emotions they inspire.
