Product catalog summary
Product Description
TP651 is a pre-compressed, multi-functional sealing tape made from open-cell polyurethane foam impregnated with flame-retardant synthetic resin. It features a unique one-sided impregnation for varying vapor diffusion properties, protecting against mold and fungi. The tape is designed to be less permeable inside than outside, following the 'inside tighter than outside' principle.
Color and Packaging
The tape is anthracite with a light grey powder-coated internal face. It is supplied on pre-compressed rolls with a self-adhesive side for easy installation.
Dimensions
Available in various sizes with different joint depth and width specifications, each roll length varies, providing different meters per box.
Technical Information
  • Building Classification: DIN 4102 B2 (normally flammable)
  • Thermal Conductivity: 0.048 W/m.K
  • Water Vapor Diffusion: Sd Value < 0.5 m
  • Joint Permeability: < 0.1 m3/[h.m.(daPa)2/3]
  • Resistance to Driving Rain: 600 Pa min.
  • Sound Insulation: 45 dB in 10 mm joint
  • Service Temperature: -30°C to +90°C
  • Shelf Life: 9 months in cool, dry conditions
Usage and Benefits
TP651 is used for sealing window and door perimeter joints against rain, providing airtightness and thermal insulation. It is suitable for new and replacement installations, maintaining energy ratings, and is resistant to driving rain, providing thermal and acoustic insulation.
Installation Method
Choose the appropriate tape size for the joint width and depth. Clean the reveal, apply the tape to the window frame, and ensure proper sealing at corners. Install the window immediately, using appropriate fixings. Enhance airtightness with additional membranes if needed.
Storage and Handling
Store in dry, shaded conditions between +1°C and +20°C. High temperatures accelerate expansion, while low temperatures delay it. Store remaining rolls horizontally and weigh them down to prevent expansion.
Health & Safety
Read and understand the safety data sheet before use.

illbruckmaking it perfect. Description TP651 is an impregnated, pre-compressed multi-functional sealing tape. It is comprised of open-cell polyurethane soft foam, impregnated with flame-retardant synthetic resin. The different vapour diffusion properties are achieved through a unique, one-sided patented side impregnation. The impregnation also protects the tape against mould and fungi. TP651 utilises the property of water-vapour permeable sealing, making it less permeable inside than outside (inside tighter than outside principle). Colour Anthracite. Internal face: powder coated, light grey. Packaging Supplied on pre-compressed rolls, with self-adhesive on one side for initial location. Tools • Tape measure, cutting shears or knife and a flat bladed tool are required for installation. Usage / Purpose TP651 is used for sealing the perimeter joints of windows and doors against driving rain and provides airtightness. It also offers thermal insulating properties within the perimeter gap between the window and reveal and maintains the energy rating of the window/door. An 'A' rated (WER) window can therefore be classed as having an 'A' rated installation1. Key Benefits • Suitable for new-build and replacement installations • Meets BS8213-4:2016 Code of Practice & GGF Guide to Good Practice -Installation of replacement windows and doors • Maintains the energy rating of the window • Resistance to driving rain (up to 600Pa), provides thermal and acoustic insulation and air tightness all in one product • Meets CWCT test for site water tightness (TN41) • Quick and easy window sealing in one application • All-weather installation • Breathable Installation rating not included in BFRC 'WER' scheme

TP651 Trio Installation Method • Similarly, if access is possible to the internal side of the variation and available depth (eg 35/3 – 7, tape width 35 mm / joint width variable between 3 – 7 mm). • Remove any contamination or mortar residue from the reveal. Any areas where significant undulations or damage is present should be repaired locally using an appropriate mortar. Check presence and condition of DPC and ensure cavities are filled/closed prior to fitting the new window. • Prior to installing the window, cut off the wedge shaped start of the roll and apply the tape to the outer edge of...
