Description TN545 is a self-adhesive high density PVC foam tape with a pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive supplied on an easy to use roll. Packaging Thickness: 0.8 mm,1.5 mm,3 mm,4.5 mm & 6 mm in black & grey 2.5 mm in grey only Widths: Depending on thickness from 6 mm to 1,220 mm (1,210 mm for 6 mm ) Colour Black and grey (other colours to order). Suitable in applications requiring heavy compression. Compression Required to Achieve a Positive Waterseal Compression Deflection After 1 Minute Peel Adhesion 180° 10 Minimum Dwell Application Temperature Service Temperature Store in shaded dry conditions not exceeding 23°C and 50% RH Shelf Life 24 months when stored as recommended in original unopened packaging Preparation • Ensure bonding surfaces are free from irregularities and loose particles which may impair adhesion. • Dust, dirt and grease can be removed using AT115 Solvent Cleaner. Where substrates are sensitive to solvent attack, clean with warm water and allow to dry. • The substrate must always be dry before application of the tape. illbruck Water, Air & Dust Seal Application • The exposed adhesive face should be unwound gradually, and carefully located onto the surface of the substrate. Care must be taken to avoid compressing or stretching the tape during location - this could induce peeling forces and cause the tape to lift from the substrate. • Once the tape has been positioned then apply even pressure throughout the length using a roller, starting at the centre and moving to each end to avoid stretching. • The assembly must provide sufficient force to compress the tape by 30% of original thickness if a weatherseal...
