Description TN141 is a polyethylene double-sided foam tape with high shear acrylic adhesive. Packaging Thickness: 1 mm Width: 6 to 1,000 mm Any width within the range noted above can be cut subject to minimum order quantities. Stock size are available and our Customer Service team can supply details as well as advise on cut to order sizes, minimum order quantities and lead time. Technical Information Property Foam Type Foam Density Adhesive Format Double sided Adhesive Type High shear acrylic Tape Colour Application Temperature Service Temperature Recommended Compression Store in shaded dry conditions between +5°C and +20°C Shelf Life 24 months when stored as recommended in original unopened packaging TN141 Economy Bonding Tape Preparation • Ensure bonding surfaces are free from irregularities and loose particles which may impair adhesion. • Dust, dirt and grease can be removed using AT115 Solvent Cleaner. Where substrates are sensitive to solvent attack, clean with warm water and allow to dry. • The substrate must always be dry before application of the tape. Application • The exposed adhesive face should be unwound gradually and carefully located onto surface of the substrate. Care must be taken to avoid compressing or stretching the tape during location - this could induce peeling forces and cause the tape to lift from the substrate. • Once the tape has been positioned then apply even pressure throughout the length using a roller, starting at the centre and moving to each end to avoid stretching. • With double sided tapes the protective release film is not removed until immediately prior to joint assembly. • Joints may be made by mitring corners or butting the tape ends tightly together. In all cases the tapes should be cleanly cut at slightly longer length than required to ensure compression of the jointing faces and formation of a tight joint. Usage / Purpose TN141 is suitable for bonding to a wide range of smooth surfaces, including glass, PVCU, aluminium, treated timber, etc. Used for medium duty applications where higher temperature and good shear and peel characteristics are required such as cable trunking, signs and assembly works. • Strong easy release blue film liner • Exce
