Technical Information Property Foam Type Foam Density Adhesive Format Double Sided Adhesive Type Tape Colour Application Temperature Service Temperature Recommended Compression Store in shaded dry conditions between +5°C and +25°C Shelf Life 12 months when stored as recommended in original unopened packaging TN111 Trim Mounting Tape Preparation • Ensure bonding surfaces are free from irregularities and loose particles which may impair adhesion. • Dust, dirt and grease can be removed using AT115 Solvent Cleaner. Where substrates are sensitive to solvent attack, clean with warm water and allow to dry. • The substrate must always be dry before application of the tape. • The initial tack of the adhesive is temperature-dependent and the rate of bond strength formation can be reduced in cold weather. • Moving cold materials to a warm area just prior to bonding can cause condensation on the substrate which would also reduce tack. Ideally, in cold conditions, the tape and substrates should be stored above 10°C prior to application. Application • The exposed adhesive face should be unwound and carefully located onto the surface of the trim section, setting back 1 to 2 mm from the edge of the section. • For broad trims it is better to use two thinner strips of TN111 rather than a single wide strip. Immediately prior to mounting, the protective release film is removed and the trim is carefully positioned. • Apply even pressure throughout the length of the trim in order to consolidate the bond. Exposed edges of the trim should be sealed using a compatible silicone sealant, which will also provide additional adhesion. • Adhesion of the tape reaches optimum strength after 48 hours. Larger / heavier profiles may require mechanical fixing. Usage / Purpose TN111 is a closed-cell, double-sided PE foam tape used for bonding lightweight trim and flashing around windows, doors and similar interior applications. quick and easy way to bond lightweight trim and flashing – gives an instant bond with no curing time • High quality PSA adhesive bonds to almost all plastic surfaces to give a strong, permanent bond • Excellent low temper

Not suitable for applications where the adhesive is exposed to UV light. Care should be taken to set the tape back from the exposed edge. Users are advised to conduct their own tests in order to determine the suitability of the product for the particular application. Contact of the tape with solvents or corrosive chemicals should be avoided. Some grades of silicone may yellow in contact with tape. Health & Safety Precautions Safety data...
