Surface Preparation and Application
  • Surfaces must be clean, dry, dust-free, and grease-free for optimal adhesion.
  • Use AA200 Cleaner for glazed tiles, metal surfaces, and glass; AA115 for sensitive substrates.
  • Conduct compatibility tests prior to use.
  • Apply directly from the sausage using a manual or pneumatic gun.
  • Ensure primer is dry before application if used.
Key Benefits
  • Strong and flexible bond with quick initial fix.
  • Wide adhesion spectrum, often without primer.
  • Easy extrusion with no sagging.
  • Good UV resistance and low VOC formulation.
Adhesion Table
The document provides a detailed adhesion table indicating which materials require a primer and which do not. For example, no primer is needed for aluminium, glass, and wood, while materials like brick and plaster may require primer AT140.
Cleaning and Safety
  • Fresh sealant can be removed with AT115; cured sealant requires mechanical removal.
  • Not recommended for natural stone, mirror backs, stress-sensitive plastics, or exterior use.
  • Read and understand the safety data sheet before use.

For other materials, please contact CPG UKTechnical Services. Usage / Purpose SP045 is an easy to apply adhesive for use where a quick initial fix and a lasting strong flexible bond is required. SP045's versatility extends to a wide range of construction fixing and mounting applications such as bonding skirtings, architraves and lightweight coving. Application • For bonding on substrates where no primer is necessary (see table) SP045 can be applied directly out of the sausage using a manual or pneumatic gun. • When applying onto primer, ensure the primer has dried sufficiently in accordance with the relevant data sheet. • Ensure the surface is tooled within the tack free time and to get the best finish do not overuse tooling aids. Key Benefits • Good cohesive strength and cure speed, adhesive bond occurs quickly and remains strong and flexible after curing • Wide adhesion spectrum, bonds to common construction materials, often without the need for primer • Easy to extrude with no sag for a controlled application with less adhesive waste • Good UV resistance • Low VOC formulation, isocyanate and solvent free with low odour
