Base The base is made from polyester resins reinforces with fiberglass and insulated with polyurethane foam. The inner finish of the base is made of white Gel-Coat. The height of the base is in between 15cm and 25cm depending on the side of the skylight. The base can be fabricated with different shape (square, rectangular, circular). The dome is made of cast o extruded methacrylate, it could be clear or opal sheet with 3 or 4mm thick depending on the side of the skylight. This material has a high impact resistance (17times higher than glass) and his ice white color allows for light diffusion and stopping the embarrassing solar ray. The dome could be made with a parabolic or pyramid shape. It is also possible to install various dome (bivalve and trivalve) in order to prevents water condense due to the temperature difference between inside and outside.
