Product catalog summary
Product Description: The document describes the U32 Underscreed, an agglomerated cork product designed for impact and airborne noise insulation of floating slabs. It is noted for its natural and sustainable properties, flexibility, and ease of handling.
Physical and Mechanical Properties: According to ISO 7322 standards, the product has a surface weight of 1.5 Kg/m², dynamic stiffness of 55 MN/m³, tensile strength greater than 200 KPa, recovery rate over 90%, and can bear loads up to 3,000 Kg/m². It is durable for the lifetime of the building.
Thermal Properties: As per ISO 8301, the thermal conductivity is 0.038 W/m°K, and thermal resistance is 0.210 m²°K/W.
Acoustical Results: The product achieves a sound reduction of ∆Lw = 21dB, as tested by ITeCons ACU 242/09.
Packaging: Standard size is 1m x 10m x 8mm, with other sizes available upon request.
Installation Instructions: The document provides general installation guidelines recommended by Amorim Cork Composites. Key points include ensuring room conditions with temperature above 10ºC and moisture content below 75%, preparing a structurally sound and level subfloor with moisture content not exceeding 2.5% (CM), and installing a perimeter insulation barrier to prevent lateral noise propagation. The AcoustiCORK U32 should be unpacked 24 hours before installation, cut to size, and laid directly over the subfloor. Joints should be tightly butted and securely taped. An insulation vapor barrier must be installed before the screed, ensuring no gaps and avoiding mechanical fastening to maintain insulation performance.
Contact Information: For detailed installation instructions, contact details for Amorim Cork Composites and Total Vibration Solutions Ltd are provided.
