Product catalog summary
Product Description: The AcoustiCORK T66 is an underlay made from agglomerated cork and recycled rubber, designed for impact noise reduction and thermal insulation. It is suitable for various types of flooring including floating, hardwood, vinyl, linoleum, and ceramic floors.
Physical and Mechanical Properties: According to ISO 7322, the specific weight ranges from 550-650 Kg/m3, tensile strength is greater than 600 KPa, compression is 15%, recovery is over 90%, and it has a durability equal to the lifetime of the building.
Thermal Properties: As per ISO 8301, the thermal conductivity is 0.075 W/m°K and thermal resistance is 0.027 m²°K/W.
Acoustical Results: Based on ISO 140 & 717, the product provides a ∆Lw of 19dB for floating floors, 20dB for glue-down wood, 21dB for vinyl/linoleum, and 20dB for ceramic tiles.
Packaging: Standard size is 1m x 15m x 3mm, covering 15m², with other sizes available upon request.
Installation Instructions:
  • General Conditions: Ensure room temperature is above 10ºC and moisture content is below 75%. Subfloors must be sound, clean, and level with moisture content not exceeding 2.5%.
  • Floating Floors: Install a vapor barrier before laying the underlay. Do not mechanically fasten the underlay to preserve its acoustical properties.
  • Glue Down Wood, Vinyl/Linoleum, Ceramic: Install a perimeter insulation barrier to prevent lateral noise propagation. Use acrylic glue and a V-notched trowel for installation, ensuring tight joints and no gaps.
