Akvaco at is also suitable fo r interio r co ncrete, brick and mineral bo ard surfaces. Industrial, repairsho p and sto rag e flo o rs, which are subject to lig ht mechanical and chemical stress. Also suitable fo r flo o rs o f g arag es, balco nies, cellars, etc. Only fo r pro fessio nal use. Drying time at 23°C and 50% relative air humidity Dust dry after 6 ho urs, reco atable after 16 ho urs, fully hardened after 7 days. APPLICAT ION DET AILS Applicatio n co nditio ns The relative humidity o f the co ncrete must be less than 97 %. During painting and drying , the temperature o f the air, surface and paint sho uld be at least +15º C, and the relative humidity o f the air belo w 80 %. New co ncrete surfaces: Remo ve the laitance layer fro m new co ncrete surfaces by surface sanding o r by hydro chlo ric acid pickling . Remo ve laitance dust carefully after sanding . Do the pickling with thinned hydro chlo ric acid so lutio n (1 part co ncentrated hydro chlo ric acid, 4 parts water). Rinse carefully with water. The substrate has to be dry, firm and so lid befo re finishing . Old co ncrete flo o rs: Clean the flo o r and remo ve g rease, o il, chemicals and o ther impurities with Tikkurila Maalipesu Cleaning Ag ent by sanding o r blastcleaning . Remo ve o ld lo o se paint film by sanding . Open cracks, ho les and ho llo ws until so und co ncrete with e.g . edg e g rinder. Remo ve lo o se material and dust. Fill cracks, o pened ho llo ws and ho les with e.g . a cement based filler o r with an epo xy filler. Sand the filled spo ts to the same level as the surro unding surface befo re painting . The co mpo nents are mixed mechanically and separately 1-2 minutes befo re adding the B-part into the A-part. Add the hardener to the paint (3:1 by vo lume) and mix using a paint mixer attached to a po wer drill (mixing time appro x. 3-5 min). Use a slo w ro tatio n speed. Careless mixing o r an inco rrect mixing ratio may put the wo rk at risk. Prime with Akvaco at epo xy paint diluted 30-40 % with water. The thinner is added into the ready co mpo und and mixed carefully. Finishing can be do ne at the earliest 16 ho urs after priming . The finishing paint can be diluted with water max. 10-35 %. No n-Slip treatment: Impro ve g rip o n painted surfaces by adding No n-Slip Ag ent to Akvaco at Epo xy Paint. Beg in by applying the first co at no rmally acco rding to instructio ns.
