Product Overview:
Thermafiber® Spiral Anchors are designed for easy installation of mullion covers in curtain wall systems, providing up to 3-hour fire protection. They are a component of UL-approved assemblies and can be quickly installed using a #2 Phillips head drill bit. The anchors are available for overnight shipment and are used in conjunction with Impasse® hangers, as demonstrated in the Vdara hotel in Las Vegas.

Specifications:
Spiral Anchors are available in lengths of 2 ¾” or 3 ¾”, with custom lengths available for thicker mullion covers. They are shipped in quantities of 500, 1000, or 2000 pieces per carton. The anchors should be at least 1 ¾” longer than the thickness of the mullion cover.

Installation Procedure:
1. Place the mullion cover over the vertical spandrel.
2. Mechanically attach the spiral anchor using a Phillips head drill or electric screwdriver.
3. Tape over all spiral anchors to restore the vapor barrier using Thermafiber Aluminum Foil or FSK tape.

Fire Containment Systems:
The product is part of UL® Approved Designs per ASTM E 2307, including various CW-D and CW-S series designs.

Environmental Considerations:
The insulation used with Spiral Anchors contains a minimum of 70% recycled content.
