THE SOLUTION The North of England Zoological Society decided that a 15000m2 field adjacent to the Zoo would provide the necessary space for the additional car parking. However, in view of the volume of traffic, this grassed area would require drainage and reinforcement mesh to be installed. CONCLUSIONS Following the grading of the area and the installation of fin drains, TENAX Turf Reinforcement Mesh was laid in 4m wide roadways down the length of the field.
