Before Tectona came into being in 1977, the French market for garden furniture was uninspiring and lacking in choice. The founders of Tectona judiciously looked for inspiration across the Channel — the British were already masters in the field of garden furniture — and were driven by a deep desire to invent the art of outdoor living à la française. Since the first design collaboration in 1992 with Andrée Putman, inspiration has always gone hand in hand with comfort, construction quality and durability.
