Product catalog summary
Main Features: EPOSTUK is a two-component epoxy sealant known for its high chemical resistance, workability, mechanical strength, hardness, and cleanability. It is suitable for joints ranging from 2 to 20 mm and is ideal for industrial environments exposed to aggressive chemicals.
Appearance: Component A is a thick paste available in four colors, while Component B is a viscous liquid.
Storage: The product can be stored for 24 months in a dry place at temperatures between +10°C and +30°C.
Fields of Use: EPOSTUK is used for grouting joints in ceramic or stone floors or walls, especially in environments exposed to aggressive chemicals like dairies, laboratories, and industrial kitchens. It is also suitable for heavy traffic areas and swimming pools, including those with seawater.
Nature of the Product: The sealant consists of epoxy resins, quartz charges, and specific additives. It is a reactive sealant that sets through a chemical reaction between its two components.
Preparation and Application: Mix components A and B thoroughly using a blender with a spiral whisk. Apply the creamy paste with a trowel. Avoid using random percentages of the product and do not use it after it becomes difficult to apply. Wear rubber gloves during application.
Warnings and Recommendations: Do not use on porous surfaces or when there is water in the joints. Avoid washing with acids or strong oxidants during application.
Technical Data: The mixing ratio is 94:6, with a pot life of 40 minutes. The product is treadable after 24 hours and fully usable after 3 days. It has a thermal resistance from -20°C to 100°C and meets various EN standards for abrasion resistance, flexural strength, compressive strength, shrinkage, and water absorption.
Chemical Resistance: EPOSTUK shows varying degrees of resistance to different acids, alkalis, oils, fuels, and solvents, with optimum resistance to some and poor resistance to others.
Specification: EPOSTUK is recommended for grouting ceramic floor and wall tiles, providing high chemical resistance for joints up to 20 mm.
Contact Information: Sika Italia S.p.A., with offices in Peschiera Borromeo and a plant in Sassuolo, provides further technical support and documentation on their website.

GROUTING OPERATION Apply EPOSTUK with a rubber trowel, and make sure that the joints are filled completely. Wipe off any excess sealant with the edge of the applicator. Squeeze a sponge soaked in water over the grouted surface and emulsify the product with medium-hard felt by making circular movements over the surface. Take care not to empty the joint. Excess product can be easily removed with a soft rubber scraper. After cleaning, it is very important for the tile surface to be completely free from traces of grouting as it is very difficult to remove once hardened. Frequently rinse the sponge...
