Water pre-treatment

Product catalog summary
Introduction
Techneau, founded in 1998, specializes in water pre-treatment solutions, focusing on innovation, customization, and rapid delivery. The company offers a range of oil and grease separators, supported by a strong R&D department.
Specifications and Product Range
The document details various models of oil and grease separators made from polyethylene and steel, featuring sludge traps, coalescing filters, and by-pass options. These products comply with European standards NF EN 858-1 and NF EN 858-2, ensuring quality and performance.
Material Selection
Material choice between polyethylene, steel, and stainless steel depends on installation conditions. Polyethylene is advantageous for handling and corrosion resistance, while steel offers superior mechanical resistance.
Installation Guidelines
Installation instructions emphasize selecting the appropriate model based on site-specific conditions, such as covered or uncovered areas and expected flow rates.
Standards and Compliance
Products are designed to meet discharge level requirements of <= 5 mg/l with a density of 0.85, as per EN 858-1. Features like coalescing filters and sludge traps enhance performance.
Recommendations
For optimal performance, select the separator model based on specific applications, such as underground parking or fuel distribution areas, considering factors like flow rate and area coverage.
Fuel Filling and Distribution Areas
Installation of separators with by-pass is prohibited. Flow rate for uncovered areas is set at 45 l/h/m², with a factor of 0.5 for covered areas. Effluent from washing areas must be pre-treated separately.
Washing Areas
Defined by European standard EN 858-2, automatic washing units have a flow rate of 2 l/s per unit. Sludge traps must be at least 600 liters and 200 liters per l/s.
Oil Separators
Class 1 discharge must be less than 5 mg/l. Available from 1.5 to 30 l/s, with options for cover extension, alarms, and various construction materials.
Battery-Acid Neutralization Tanks
Designed to neutralize battery acids before discharge, composed of a polyethylene tank and marble filter.
General Specifications
Dimensions are provided in mm, weights in kg, and volumes in liters. Various models and sizes are available for different flow rates and applications.
Installation Procedures for Separators
Includes preparation, base layer setup, separator placement, backfilling, connections, and final steps. Special cases like starch separators and discharge columns are addressed.
Mechanical Strength and Limitations
Temperature should not exceed 30°C. Load capacity is designed for specific static loads, with considerations for groundwater and ground conditions.
Ventilation and Cover Requirements
Ensure proper ventilation to prevent odors. Use cast iron covers and concrete slabs for installations with vehicular traffic.

a competence center at your service. Located in an industrial zone of 8 hectares, Techneau knows how to bring together the skills required to create, develop, produce and market its products. In 1998, Techneau created the Plasteau company in order to jointly develop hollow tanks made out of rotomoulded tanks The rotomoulding unit is now composed of 32 partners. Within the workshop, 4 machines featuring 3 arms each, produce spheres of up to dia.3.5 m. In a few years, Plasteau has become the expert in onpiece hollow bodies of large volume dedicated to management and reclamation of rain water. The...

Techneau proposes you 2 ranges of oil separator: “HydroPE” in rotomoulded polyethylene and “HydroAC” in painted steel. Rotomoulding is a technique used to produce hollow bodies, with very thick inner walls, which guarantees an excellent mechanical resistance. The result is a one-piece product (without welding), which prevents any risk of spillage. Polyethylene is not sensitive to corrosion. HydroAC are produced from boiled steel S235JR peened SA 2.5 with an internal and external bi-component coating, based on epoxy/adduct polyamid resin. Range C is equipped in standard with 1 2 or 3 cast iron...

Without by-pass With by-pass Fuel lling or fuel distribution areas Grease separator Caution! The installation of separator with by-pass is prohibited in this type of area. The size of pre-treatment apparatus for fuel filling and fuel distribution areas is defined in France by the decree dated January 7th 2003. This decree sets the flow rate unit at 45 l/h/m² for uncovered areas. A factor of 0.5 has to be applied for covered areas (roofed cover). Example: A fuel distribution zone has a total surface area of 550 m², 200 m² of which are under cover. The following calculation formula is applied:...
