STAUF POLYESTER FELT

STAUF POLYESTER FELT

Product catalog summary
Product Overview: STAUF Polyester Felt is designed for mechanical detachment between subfloor and flooring, providing stress relief due to its elastic fiber structure. It enhances installation safety on unstable grounds and serves as a mechanical decoupling layer below wood flooring, particularly useful in renovation areas.
Application Range: Suitable for various subfloors including sanded mastic asphalt screed, old subfloors with adhesive residues, calcium sulphate floors, STAUF levelling compounds, chipboards, OSB boards, and cement floors.
Product Properties: Compatible with all wood flooring adhesives and subfloor heating systems. It features a low installation height of approximately 1.2 mm, is easy to slice and install, and is available in white color. Consumption is 1m² per m².
Instructions: For adhesive selection, prepare the subfloor, prime, and level according to the type of parquet installation. Preferably use STAUF Polyurethane parquet adhesives and consult the STAUF application engineering department before using other adhesives.
Storage and Packaging: Store in a dry environment. Available in 25 m² rolls. Emicode rating is EC1 plus.
Subfloor Examination: Subfloors must comply with DIN 18356, DIN 18365, or equivalent standards, ensuring they are pressure and tension-resistant, crack-free, dry, level, clean, and free from contaminants. Check porosity, grip, moisture content, and temperature conditions.
Subfloor Preparation: Ensure subfloors are clean, strong, level, dry, and crack-free. Perform mechanical pretreatment as needed. Use STAUF repair resin for cracks and fill cavities with a non-self-levelling STAUF compound.
Processing: Prepare, prime, and level the subfloor as for direct bonding. Lay and cut the underlayment to size, aligning strips parallel to the floor covering with offset joints. Be aware of potential dimensional changes during adhesive curing.
Limitation of Liability: The information provided is advisory and based on current testing. It does not constitute a warranty. On-site testing is recommended to ensure product suitability. Previous technical information is rendered invalid with this release.

EXAMINATION OF SUBFLOOR Prior to processing, the subfloor must be checked according to the standard DIN 18356, DIN 18365 or corresponding national standards. The subfloor shall be resistant to pressure and tension, free of cracks, must have sufficient surface strength, be permanently dry, level, clean and free of from contaminants that may prevent adhesion, sinter layers etc. In addition, porosity and grip of surface need to be checked. Also check moisture content and absorption of subfloors as well as temperature, air humidity and subfloor temperature. SUBFLOOR PREPARATION It must be ensured...
