TAFIPAN P2 FR Particleboard with improved fire behavior DESCRIPTION Tafipan P2 FR is a particleboard with a fine sanded surface suitable for coating with melamine paper and veneer or laminate. The board is suitable for furniture production, easy to mill and has low formaldehyde emission (E1 class). Regarding reaction to fire and according to EN 13986, Tafipan P2 FR, is classified as B-s1, d0 (Euroclasse definition by EN 13501-1). FIRE RETARDANT In addition to technical performance Tafipan panels are sustainable and environmental products. APPLICATIONS Tafipan P2 FR can be used in all industrial processing for interior decoration and furniture, and must be applied in service class 1 (restrictions in temperature and ambient humidity). The Tafipan P2 FR is recommended for utilization in applications sectors with stringent regulations regarding fire behaviour of materials used. The use of Tafipan P2 FR contributes to: • Reducing the combustion of an element, • Reducing heat emission after possible combustion, • Preventing or delaying the spread of fire to a neighbouring elements, • Reducing the spread of fire. RECOMENDATIONS Boards must be stacked on a hard, level surface and protected from direct contact with water. Pigments added during production of this product in exceptional cases may interfere with certain types of adhesives, should therefore conduct a test before you apply them. Expansion and contraction in wood products is directly related to moisture content and must be considered during design and construction.
