AGL - 1

Injectable with sleeve Concept Rough High Tensile or Stainless steel pipe reinforcement , the thickness of which is function of loads to be carried ; the anchor can be made of elements to be connected with screws or flanges ; Fabric sleeve wraps the whole anchor ; Number of plastic injection pipes depends on length. Applications The AGL is used particularly to create high colums in existing constructions to solve structural problems or to modify the path of loads carried to the ground. It allows the fastening of the construction structure with its foundations in underpinning projects. It is a very efficient reinforcement in case of large shear and traction stresses while having a high resistance to buckling thanks to the used steel sections and the filling of the pipe by grout . The AGL is mainly used vertically with lengths over 10 m . The AGL can be part of a so-called “skeleton” made of standard horizontal anchors ended with rings , the diameters of which allow the AGL to go through .The grout injection will fasten the anchors together . (see fig A) In case no crane is available on site the anchor will be made of connectable elements , which will be assembled on site using steel sleeves to be screwed or pins (see fig B) . d Avantages The AGL main advantage consists in its capacity to carry large loads on bearings that moved from their original location. The AGL allows, in transformation works or construction raising projects, to transfer loads on new bearings , whatever the distance is. Investigations Investigations depend on the type of building and on the site conditions. Generally the steps to follow will be : a) defintion of the process b) study of the existing support resistance and shape c) presence of hollow parts and their sizes d) definition of loads e) list of needed equipment and understanding of...
