Our passion for rattan and know-how dates a long way back - we have been around long enough to call ourselves Scandinavia’s oldest producer of rattan and wicker furniture. The story of our company begins in 1942 when Ankj^r Andreasen produced the first batch of baskets, lamps, flower tables and other smaller interior items made of rush and willow. In the 1950s he expanded his production to include a series of furniture made from rattan, and the company Sika-Design was firmly established. LOOM LIVINGA NEW INTERIOR COLLECTION Loom is the name of a unique woven material, which consists of a twisted Kraft paper that is partly reinforced with steel wire. Our Loom furniture is similar to our fine, traditional handcrafted rattan furniture, it is smooth to the touch, with no sharp joints in the weave, which can snag clothing, it does not bend, distort or creak when used and it is remarkably strong and durable.
