Product catalog summary
Overview
The document provides detailed information on the Desigo™ Room Automation system, focusing on the DXR2 series of compact room automation stations. These stations are designed for HVAC, lighting, and shading applications in buildings requiring high functionality and flexibility. They support BACnet MS/TP communication and KNX PL-Link bus for sensor and actuator connections.
Features
The DXR2 series is compact and programmable, facilitating easy installation in tight spaces. They include plug-in terminal blocks for easy replacement and support various room automation applications such as HVAC, lighting, and shading. Preinstalled applications cover systems like variable air volume (VAV), fan coil systems, dual duct VAV, chilled beam cooling, and radiant ceiling heating.
Functions
The functionality of these stations depends on the chosen application, parameters, and input/output configuration. Communication is enabled through BACnet MS/TP and USB, with additional functions via the KNX PL-Link bus.
Technical Design
The power supply provides controlled voltages for inputs and outputs, with an internal bus power supply for KNX PL-Link. Terminal covers are not included and must be ordered separately.
Safety and Installation
Compliance with national safety regulations is essential to prevent injury and damage. Devices can be mounted on standard rails or flat surfaces, with guidelines for wiring and strain relief to avoid mechanical stress.
Technical Data
Technical specifications include processor type, RAM, communication resolution, power supply requirements, and input/output configurations. Information on resistance and temperature sensors, voltage measurement, and power consumption is also provided.
Disposal and Warranty
Devices must be disposed of according to European Guidelines and local regulations. Siemens warranties apply only to applications using Siemens products.
Line Failure Detection
Specifications for digital inputs include universal and digital input voltages and currents, and contact resistance requirements for closed and open contacts.
Differential Pressure Sensor
The sensor measures 0 to 500 Pa, with an overload range up to 100 kPa, zero-point accuracy of 0.2 Pa, and a resolution of 12 bits.
Outputs
Outputs are short-circuit proof, including various configurations of Triacs and Analog Outputs (AO) with specific voltage and current parameters.
Switching Outputs
Triac outputs are designed for AC 24 V with specific permissible loads and are short-circuit proof.
Supply for Field Devices
Details on output voltage and permissible load for different DXR2 models, with short-circuit protection, are provided.
Connections and Interfaces
Includes MS/TP and KNX interfaces with specific baud rates and protections, as well as USB connections.
Wiring Connections
Details on pluggable screw terminals, wire types, and stripping lengths, along with maximum wiring lengths for various signals.
Conformity and Standards
The document lists compliance with various IEC/EN standards, EU conformity, and other international approvals, including BACnet and environmental compatibility.
Connection Terminals
Provides pin descriptions and terminal module channels for different DXR2 models, including power supply and output configurations.
Dimensions
Physical dimensions of the device with and without terminal cover are provided.
Issued By
