Warm edge + triple-pane insulating glazing-1

Triple pane insulating glass & ‘warm edge’ A great benefit at little cost From both perspectives, environmental and economic, ’Saving Energy’ is a topping which is getting increasingly important. As such, the amendment to the German energy saving regulation (EnEV) has made the requirements for buildings much tougher. The most important requirement for low fuel consumption is good heat conservation. In addition to the window frame material, the heat transfer coefficient of the glass and the heat transfer of the edge bond system are significantly responsible for the thermal insulation properties of the window. The SCHOLLGLAS Group offers a whole range of edge bond systems with improved material properties for insulating glazing. These new ‘warm edge’ spacers are a clear plus when it comes to the overall energy balance of a building. The big advantage: With ‘warm edge’ edge bond systems fuel savings of up to five percent can be achieved. The SCHOLLGLAS insulating glass systems with improved thermal spacers clearly optimize the transition from glass to frame in terms of heat insulation and above all make a contribution to energy savings – in line with the current energy saving regulation. Plan today with the right glass and benefit over the next twenty years. Benefits of energy rehabilitation: Heating savings C02-minimisation / climate protection Increase in value of the building Greater living comfort

Warm edge + triple-pane insulating glazing-2

SCHOLLCONSISTENT:COMPETENT:TRANSPARENTGLAS The requirements made on the edge bond are complex: It must be mechanically stable and permanently fulfil the requirements of the insulating glass standard e.g. in terms of water and gas impermeability. A conventional insulating glass edge bond with metallic spacers (such as aluminium) represents a thermal weak spot however, as the high thermal conductivity of the material leads to heat losses in the area of the edge. To prevent this, special spacer systems have been developed for a thermally insulated edge bond, the so-called ‘warm edge’ spacers. Please...
