The 5400 Series chairs are constructed from heavy-duty, static-free, high-density polypropylene with a light grain texture on both sides. The material is injection molded into a one-piece shell featuring a waterfall edge and a ribless back design for enhanced comfort and flexibility. Frame and Legs:
The chair's legs are made from 1 1/8", 13-gauge high-strength, low-alloy (HSLA) steel. Each set of legs, both front and back, consists of a single tube running side to side, connected by two 14-gauge steel brackets. To prevent scratching when stacked, four bumpers are riveted to the underside of the frame. The chair features heavy-duty molded plastic glides for durability, which are fastened with screws and angled to prevent tipping.
