HELEN KONTOURIS Helen Kontouris is an accomplished designer who is inspired by her observation of everyday experiences, of people’s interaction with objects, and fresh perspectives gained from travel. Renowned for her use of contrasting materials, Helen’s work has often been described as sculptural. Her products invite exploration and an intimate and sensory engagement beyond their immediacy, leading to the development of the 101 Chair, Chubby Sofa and La La stool for Schiavello.

The La La stool is a truly versatile piece of furniture, with a form that marries both firm line work with voluptuous curves.

Designed by Helen Kontouris, the La La stool is lightweight, adaptable, and can be tipped over to reveal a different profile. It can be used not only as a stool, but also a side table or footstool. Use La La in a bathroom or living space, or cluster around a dining table for additional seating. La La’s counteracting conical shapes collide diagonally, creating a fusion of crisp lines with curved forms. Encouraging different views, its sculptural form creates a sense of movement from every angle Made of durable polyethylene, La La’s composition enables both indoor and outdoor use.
