Savant® Smart Host: HST-SMRTD The Savant® Smart Host is the brain of the Savant system providing high-level automation and control functions, user interface interpretations, system User interface (Ul) software residing on the host communicates with Savant's entire line of Uls including remotes, keypads, and mobile devices to on-screen displays using applications such as, TrueControl™. This communication provides advanced 2-way control of components and services commonly found in automation and control environments. NOTE: The Savant Smart Host is a custom Linux device designed specifically to support running a Savant® Runtime OS. Use of other Linux devices Feature Summary • Key building block of any Savant audio/video and control, sound, communication or energy monitoring • Interfaces with TrueControl™ II • Rack mountable (1U rack shelf RCK-4000-xx) • Used as a master host if license is purchased • Use RacePoint Blueprint™ design tool to configure and customize system control IMPORTANT! Before using the Savant Smart Hostfor the first time, update the runtime OS to the latest version. Perform the steps outlined in the Savant Smart Host Deployment Guide 009-1131- xx located on the Savant Portal.
